About Chadron State

Nestled in the beautiful Pine Ridge of northwest Nebraska, right up against the Nebraska National Forest, Chadron State College is home to over 2,200 students.

These “Eagles” enjoy a wide variety of student activities while studying in diverse Bachelor degree programs and three Masters’ programs.

Chadron State College, which was founded in 1911, is the only four-year, regionally-accredited college in the western half of Nebraska. As a public institution with its roots in teacher education, Chadron State takes pride in its accessibility and affordability. More than 2,200 undergraduate, graduate, and online students currently attend Chadron State and its curriculum has grown to offer programs and courses in 51 majors and endorsements and nine master’s degree programs.
